Before two weeks ago, I had never been to a chiropractor. I was lucky and didn’t have any issues or problems that would need treatment. Until recently.
I had been experiencing pain in my lower/mid back on my right side for a few weeks when I went to the health fair at my gym. There were a few people from a local chiropractic practice there giving free massages. Free massages? Count me in!!! I noticed that after the massage my back felt a bit better and decided to make an appointment for a free consultation.
Fast forward and I’m now going there 3 times a week for the next three weeks to have a combination of adjustments, muscle stimulation and physical therapy exercises to help me get my back on track. Today was my third session and I’m feeling the best that I have in a long time. I’m so glad that they happened to be in the right place at the right time for me to start working with them. It just goes to show the importance of listening to your body and seeking out help when you need it. I am hoping that after a few weeks of intensive treatment that I will have strengthened my back muscles to reduce my pain and prevent future injury.
This is another thing to add to the list of wellness activities that I am doing to help improve my daily life: supplements, healthy diet, drinking more water, chiropractic care, and I also got a physical on Friday!
