This was my daily breakfast in graduate school. I affectionately call this kind of smoothie a “green monster”. While it is a little more time-consuming to make than grabbing a granola bar and going, it is well worth it. This is a perfect breakfast with a large amount of protein and some hidden spinach (I swear you can’t taste it).
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 large banana, cut into slices
- 6 oz non-fat greek yogurt (or another yogurt)
- 1 scoop protein powder
Add ingredients to the blender making sure that the fruit is on the bottom (it makes sure that the spinach gets blended). Enjoy!
